Blink of an Eye Contest

Flickr is holding a call for the best photos, as judged by a group of professional photographers on Flickr. It’s called the “Blink of an Eye” contest, and it’s giving me a hard time, because each user can only submit one image to the group.

After sifting through my huge collection of photographs, I’ve managed to narrow down my choice to one of the following four photos. Naturally, click on the link to view the photo in my Flickr photostream at a much higher resolution:

Each one has something different going for it, and that’s what makes this so hard. With a little touching up and cropping, I think the photo of the crows could be great, the photo of the boy watching the National Guard has that newspaper photo feel, I love the colors and lights in the Passat photo, and the texture and lines in the last photo make it special. I like them all, and in one week, I’m going to send just one of these off to this contest.

It’s going to be tough.
