This is not especially new, but definitely notable: Programmer Robert Hodgin basically wrote a program using the Processing language that became a video for Radiohead’s Arpeggi/Wierd Fishes, and the result is below. It’s reminiscent of Radiohead’s video for Pyramid Song, sans storyline:
