I’ve been in an employment dry spell lately, and decided to take the plunge and post my resume at HotJobs and CarreerBuilder (via Yahoo! and MSN respectively). It wasn’t long before I got results. And naturally, they were in the form of a scam.

Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who noticed that Internet Explorer Betas 1 and 2 were using a favorites icon which flat-out rips off Flock’s Flockater icon. I downloaded Internet Exlporer 7 Beta 3 last night and this icon was nowhere to be seen.

Everyone knows Microsoft as the purveyor of operating systems and video game consoles, but it’s interesting to hear something about Microsoft working behind the curtain. Wayne Huizenga founded Blockbuster Video, whose first storeopened its doors on October 19, 1985, and sold it to Viacom in 1994. That'swhere the beginning of the end started for Blockbuster. Today, I deleted iTunes from my system.
I've always been a die-hard PC user and thus fairly ambivalent to the Apple crowd, despite the fact that I'm usually in-line with other "hipster" brands (case in point, I drive a Volkswagen). Note, however, that I do not shop at Urban Outfitters.
