Day Two Fifty One | A Short Day
Saturday, September 19th, 2009
Saturday was short; I didn’t really get up until around 1 in the afternoon because I was sleeping off an allergy I got yesterday. By a little later in the afternoon, I went out exploring areas I hadn’t been to; I like doing that on weekends.

Day Two Hundred Thirty Nine | Drive
Monday, September 7th, 2009
The long weekend ended up feeling so long I thought it would never end. Here, I thought it would be a fine break from 9-to-5 work, but at this point, I just want to go to sleep and wake up tomorrow, ready for another week of graphic design, layouts, and all that other stuff I actually like—and get paid for.
I got some errands done today, so it wasn’t a total loss. I drove around aimlessly again, and ended up realizing that one road I never drive on in South Orlando (John Young Parkway) eventually becomes a road I’m on almost every day near Winter Park (Lee Road). That was… interesting.

Day Two Hundred Three | Inkblot
Sunday, August 2nd, 2009
First off, the photo. I was driving around, trying to go someplace I’ve never been—weekends are good for exploring—and then the rain came. This shot looked pretty dark as it was, so I just turned the black up to 11 and ended up with this inkblot-looking thing. Neat.
And today, well, it’s a Sunday. I didn’t really have to do anything. Some video games, some driving around, that’s about it. I like having weekends that feel like weekends.

Day One Hundred Ninety Seven | Commute
Monday, July 27th, 2009
This was my “commute”. Eight-something in the morning headed south toward the business district on one of the main roads, and this was the traffic I drove through. I remember the days back in Miami where driving just eight miles to work at this time took at least an hour to get through. Today: a 10-mile drive in less than twenty minutes.
I’ve gotten into a bit of a slump with my photography. I think it’s all the hard-core photo people I’ve been meeting, photo students who do this 24/7, etc. I just wish I could devote not some of my day, but all of my day to photography. But, I’ve got to work, and the sort of work I get is web development.
Maybe I need to start giving myself photography homework to do. if I give myself some goals and expectations and hurdles, maybe I can take my skills to the next level. And maybe I need to quit shooting photos while driving, too.

Day One Hundred Seventy Three | Traffic
Friday, July 3rd, 2009
I got stuck in traffic on the way home from a meandering drive through town tonight. There was a big fireworks display going on, and I knew there would be traffic in the area, but I had nothing better to do on a Friday night than be stuck in traffic while checking out the fireworks.
This was the best shot I could manage without a tripod or anything handy. I wasn’t feeling it today, either.

Day One Hundred Fifty Four | Relax
Sunday, June 14th, 2009
Today, I’m mostly relaxing. I drove to downtown Orlando and found this hipster in the wild, presumably waiting for his Prius or fixed-gear bike to finish being washed. Fascinating stuff.
I’m about finished with the work I had to do (I’ve got a few finishing touches I’ll get to today) so that means tomorrow my main priority will be my portfolio.
This is where things get good.
